My dear readers.

My poor, dear, abused blog readers,

I am sorry I have not provided thee such reading entertainment lately.

It's been quite an interesting break.

I have done plenty of random cooking, but I'll save those recipes for Sunday (only because I have to look them back up).

But for now I'll update you on our new addition to the family.

And no. I am NOT expecting. Ha ha.

Meet Tiny the turtle!!

He is the biggest little guy I've ever seen. He's so funny and speedy. I love how much of a personality he has.

Scrumptious Sundays:Tye-Dye Cupcakes and Zebra Cookies

So this week we had a gal that was leaving the swing shift and going to day shift. We were all very fond of her and decided to throw a going away potluck. Here's the goodies I decided to make!

Tye-Dye Cupcakes!! 

On my Pinterest perusing, I found this lovely treat from Delightfully Dowling. It's the most simple way to make a complex cupcake. Please don't mind my crappy photos. I'm learning a camera phone isn't the best way to make a presentation.

Also don't mind my work tracking sheets. Ha ha.

Then I decided I was done and decided to try and make

Zebra Cookies!!

I saw the photo on Pinterest but there wasn't a link so I figured how hard could it be. I used this sugar cookie recipe from All Recipes and modified it to 20 servings. I woke up late and didn't think I'd have time for a whole lot more. I added pink food coloring to the dough, baked, and stuck on some Hershey's Hugs.

Scrumptious Sundays: Cookie Dough Brownies and Banana Flatbread

So I've been off the map in regards to blogging as of late. I do sincerely apologize. Between all the Sunday holidays and then having a tooth surgically removed from my face (no bueno) I've had no motivation.

This doesn't mean I haven't cooked anything. I have infact cooked ALOT. I just haven't taken pictures. Fail.

So to add to my new years resolutions, I will try to do better to provide some delicious photos for your enjoyment.

To start off, earlier this week I made some fun treats.

Thee Husby always complains when we have over ripe bananas and we toss them instead of making bread. I, personally, hate banana bread so I've really had no desire to make any. That is until I came across this beauty. Love Food Eat has provided a fantastic banana bread twist.

This Banana Flatbread made the house smell absolutely amazing!

And this treat made thee husby quite happy!

(I would however recommend using less flour to make it taste more banana-y.)

Next on my list was this completely from scratch Cookie Dough Brownie from Recipe Girl.

The cookie dough is egg free so you don't have to worry about Salmonella!

And yes! It tastes just as good as it looks!!

(Don't mind the flour on my tank, ha ha!)
