A little food critics..

So I've concluded that I want to become a food critic.
I love trying out new restaurants.
I'm a definite foodie!

A few we've tried over the last months have been Maxwell's East Coast Eatery, Moochies, and Cantina Southwestern Grill.

Let me tell ya a smidge about them (I may even have some drool-worthy photos).

I'll start with Cantina's only because I sadly do not have photos. Cantina Southwestern Grill in Layton is a tasty mexican style restaurant. They have a salsa bar that I have fallen in love with. My favorites are the avacodo salsa and the mango salsa. They are so flavorful. I am also completely addicted to the beef floutas. They are amazing!

We first heard of Maxwell's on the radio. Thee husby was instantly drawn when he heard the mafia pizza names and wanted to check it out. Maxwell's is a delicious east coast style restaurant in Salt Lake City. They also have a location in Park City but if you know me, you know I LIVE for Salt Lake City. They have pasta, sandwiches, pizza, and a full-service bar. I don't drink so I have nothing to tell you about the barside so don't look to me for that, ha ha. Our first time out, we tried the Donnie Brasco pizza and ohmigoodness was it delicious! It has an alfredo sauce, with mozzarella, provolone and ricotta cheese, drizzled with a balsamic reduction (my fave part!). We added chicken because every man needs meat on his pizza. I seriously could not stop eating. We went back the following weekend because we couldn't stop thinking about that pizza. We ordered on our second visit the Donnie Brasco again AND the Italian Stallion pizza which has pepperoni, Italian sausage, and grilled chicken. Again we were highly impressed and plan on making Maxwell's a regular.

Here's the Donnie Brasco.

Such a beauty!

Here's the Italian Stallion.

Are you drooling yet??

We've been hearing non stop reviews for Moochies in Salt Lake City, and finally got the chance to try it today. They are known for their Philly Cheesesteaks and Meatball sandwiches. Thee husband got the Atomic Meatball sandwich, which had meatballs (obviously!), feta cheese, marinara, and jalepeno sauce. Their meatballs are seriously the size of a large fist. They are huge! I've been having random cravings for meatballs so I half-heartedly followed my husbands order, meaning I am not a fan of the spicy, so I ordered their Handmade Meatball sandwich which is the same as thee hubs except I had provolone cheese and no jalepeno sauce. My mom came along and she tried out the Pizza Steak sandwich, which was sliced steak, marinara, provolone cheese and pepperoni. She thought it was amazing. We all thouroghly enjoyed our trip here and plan to go again soon.

Here's the Atomic Meatball.

Well I hope I made you hungry because it's 11 at night and I am starving!
Not good for the weightloss desiring redhead!

Have a g'night all!
